Goal

The main goal is a sustainable and effective reduction in abnormal body weight through a combination of 3 scientifically based therapeutic approaches: appetite suppression with medication + dietary changes + strength and endurance training. Special focus is placed on our competent support team: doctor + dietician + sports scientist who, in addition to individual patient support, also regularly evaluate the medical success (targeted reduction of fat mass, maintenance or build-up of muscle mass).

For many overweight and obese people, reducing their body weight is a major challenge and requires more than just willpower.
If lifestyle changes alone (diet and exercise therapy) do not achieve weight loss or only achieve insufficient weight loss, additional drug therapy can be used based on scientific findings (S3-LEITLINIE “Prävention und Therapie der Adipositas”, 2014, DAG, DDG, DGE & DGEM).
It is important that this is only ever carried out in combination with the basic program (nutrition and exercise therapy).   IMPORTANT: Patients must bring a current blood test with them to their first appointment!
This should include the following laboratory values: KBB (complete blood count), NBZ (fasting blood glucose), HbA1c, HOMA index, TSH, T3, T4, BUN, creatinine, uric acid, GFR, GOT, GPT, yGT, alk.
phosphatase, bilirubin, cholinesterase, total protein, cholesterol, HDL cholesterol, LDL cholesterol, triglycerides, vitamin B12, folic acid, serum iron, ferritin, vitamin D3 and parathyroid hormone.
